“Morris is great man. I’m proud to have him as my second-in-command.” Xavier agreed, nodding, “And I doubt that Munchie would’ve been killed. More than likely she would’ve been released in the old Safari Zone or used in the breeding program.” He gave a shrug as he said this and looked over at the preoccupied pokemon.
Xavier gave a mild smile at her next comment. “Not a problem, I don’t ever plan on having children. Or raising any.” He stated, “And if I have one then I will just have to do my best, won’t I?” He shrugged again and leaned back against the counter as he continued to eat, contemplating having children. No, he decided, children definitely weren’t in the plan. They made parents weak. Take Morris for instance, without Aelwyn he might’ve become strong enough to destroy Xavier and take over, now he was stuck as second, again.
“I don’t know, because they seem like such…normal goals.” He said, then faced her, “Do you not wish to be married off? I won’t marry off anyone who objects to it. Besides, I want to enable anyone I can to meet their goals just as I’m meeting mine, so I don’t think I can knowingly destroy your goals by marrying you off.” He sighed, taking another bite, “Could you? Destroy another person’s hopes and dreams?”

"If she would have allowed any of that anyway." Aelwyn pointed out, "I wouldn't be surprised if she went on a killing spree if I were taken away from her, right Munchie?" She asked, leaning to Munchie and patting her on the head where she sat, chewing on the cabinet door. Luckily though it was too tough for her to actually bite into.
"Well that's good. You would be an awful parent." She stated decidedly. "Your children would be the most miserable children in the world and would probably end up killing themselves or run away." She shrugged, "I imagine that's what I'd do anyway."
"Actually, I would very much like to be married." Aelwyn replied, "Because I'll most likely be married to a leader, so he'll be very rich." She smiled at him and tapped the side of her head, "So this is what I'm thinking. I live with him, give him what he needs for a while. He accidentally dies, I take his money and split." She shrugged, "Then I have my kids and can afford a farm and all that."

It was strange, Xavier thought, how easily this girl spoke of killing. Irritation surged as she delivered her blunt opinion of what a parent Xavier would be. “Especially to such an unruly child as you surely were.” He stated, “It’s a good thing you were adopted by Morris and Tracy and not Darius.”
“Well…That’s…quite a plan.” Xavier said, shocked yet again. This girl was full of strange little surprises. It was like a perverted version of Christmas. But he did have to admit, strange as her plan was, it would probably work.
“I guess that I’ll have your parents choose their own husband for you then, ‘cause I really have no expertise there.” He said, “And I don’t know you well enough to pick a husband that would suit you.” He gave another shrug at this and finished his sandwich.

"I never really got acquainted with Darius..." Aelwyn said thoughtfully, "I was a very sassy child and my parents thought it best to keep me as far away from him as possible."
She looked as if she might continue but then footsteps caused her to pause and soon a stern, "Aelwyn!" Followed. "They found me..." Aelwyn groaned, sinking lower in her chair. Morris came into the kitchen, he took note of Xavier right away and nodded respectfully to him before turning back to Aelwyn, "What's this I hear about you refusing to go on a mission?" "Um... I have a cold? Cough cough?" Aelwyn asked hopefully. Morris stared her down silently, causing her to squirm in her chair. "I guess if I have to..." She grumbled. "You do have to." Morris replied, "You're getting nothing done lazing about in headquarters. You ought to be out tracking down rebels." "Yeah, yeah, I get it. I'll go." Aelwyn sighed. She hated long journeys, and traveling.

“Yeah, Darius wouldn’t have been fond of you.” Xavier said. And that was the least of it. Xavier knew his own father well enough to know that if Darius had known Aelwyn he would have sent her as far as away as was humanly possible without losing Morris and Tracy.
Xavier returned the nod, then watched bemused as the exchange occurred between father and daughter. He had to admit that Morris had a way with the stubborn female.
“Actually, you know, it’s been a long while since I’ve been out in the field. And these rebels may be something bigger than we think. I’m going to join you on your mission, Aelwyn.” He stated, “Morris, I believe you can take care of Headquarters in my absence?” He looked at his second-in-command, already sure that he was capable; Morris had taken care of headquarters before after all.
“Besides, this will give me a chance to get to know you, giving me better ideas to give your parents for possible suitors.” Xavier added.
